Bharat Dynamics Limited has received production clearance from the Indian Air Force for 200 Astra Mark 1 air-to-air missiles, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. These missiles will be integrated with Su-30 and LCA Tejas fighter jets. Future tests include the Astra Mark 2 with a 130 km range and a long-range variant reaching 300 km.
