Effective September 30, Nifty 50 will see Divi’s Laboratories and LTIMindtree replaced by Bharat Electronics and Trent. In the Nifty Bank, Bandhan Bank will exit, allowing Canara Bank to enter. The Nifty Next 50 will replace several stocks, including Berger Paints and Marico, with new additions like Bharat Heavy Electricals and JSW Energy. Notably, Bharat Electronics and Trent are moving up to Nifty 50 due to market cap growth. Additionally, the Nifty Midcap Select will change on October 25, replacing stocks like Jubilant Foodworks with Colgate Palmolive and others.

Short Take: Change in Index Constituents

Trent, Bharat Electronics, and Canara Bank are set to benefit from the Nifty indices rebalancing on Friday. Divi’s Laboratories and LTIMindtree will exit the Nifty 50 index, likely facing selling pressure. The National Stock Exchange will also rebalance other indices like Nifty Bank and Nifty Next 50 based on semi-annual reviews.
