Sensex spurts 1,103 pts; auto shares gears up

At 14:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex jumped 1,103.04 points or 1.38% to 81,146.54. The Nifty 50 index climbed 377.50 points or 1.55% to 24,783.60.

Tata Motors-DVR is quoting at Rs 757.35, up 1.35% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The stock is up 80.62% in last one year as compared to a 25.73% jump in NIFTY and a 67.46% jump in the Nifty Auto.
